Recombinant Human Left-right Determination Factor 1

Cat. No.: LEFTY1-1915H
Product Overview: Recombinant Human Left-right Determination Factor 1 was expressed inhuman 293 cells.
Description: Lefty (left-right determination factors) are proteins that are closely related members of the TGF-beta family of growth factors. These proteins are secreted and play a role in left-right asymmetry determination of organ systems during development. Mutations of the genes encoding these proteins have been associated with left-right axis malformations, particularly in the heart and lungs.
Source: Human 293 cells.
Activity: 10 to 40 ng/mL ED50.
Purity: >90%.
Endotoxin: Endotoxin-free.
Molecular Mass: 38 kDa, monomer, glycosylated.
Purity Confirmation: The protein was resolved by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and the gel was stained with Coomassie blue.
Activity Assay: The specific activity was determined by dose dependent ability to inhibit BMP-4 (6.5 ng/mL) induction of alkaline phosphatase production in the MC-3T3-E1 cell line (Mouse chondrogenic cell line).
