Cat. No. : FURIN-755H
Description : Furin is a membrane-associated, calcium-dependent, serine protease that belongs to the subtilisin-like pro-hormone convertase (PC) family. Members of this family cleave pro-hormones, neuropeptide precursors, some viral proteins, and bacterial toxins. The preparation was subjected to UV irradiation for 5 minutes to inactivate any residual virus.
Source : BSC-40 cells.
Form : Liquid. In 20 mM Bis-Tris buffer, 1 mg/ml BSA, pH 7.0.
Unit Definition : One unit is defined as the amount of furin that will cleave 1.0 pmol AMC from the substrate pGlu-Arg-Thr-Lys-Arg-AMC per min at 30°C, pH 7.5.
Toxicity : Standard Handling (MSDS available upon request).
Storage : ≤ -70℃. Avoid freeze/thaw. Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-70℃).
Gene Name : FURIN furin (paired basic amino acid cleaving enzyme) [ Homo sapiens ]
Synonyms : FURIN; furin (paired basic amino acid cleaving enzyme); FUR; PACE; SPC1; PCSK3; FES upstream region; dibasic processing enzyme; dibasic-processing enzyme; furin, membrane associated receptor protein; proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 3; paired basic amino acid residue-cleaving enzyme; EC 3.4.21.75; paired basic amino acid cleaving enzyme (furin, membrane associated receptor protein)
Gene ID : 5045
mRNA Refseq : NM_002569
Protein Refseq : NP_002560
