Cat. No. : NTRK2-718H
Description : TrkB is the high affinity catalytic receptor for several "neurotrophins", which are small protein growth factors that induce the survival and differentiation of distinct cell populations. The neurotrophins that activate TrkB are: BDNF (Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor), NT-4 (neurotrophin-4), and NT-3 (neurotrophin-3). As such, TrkB mediates the multiple effects of these neurotrophic factors, which includes neuronal differentiation and survival.
Source : Baculovirus infected Sf9 cells.
Purification : GST-Affinity Chromatography.
Product Identity : TRK-B was confirmed as TRK-B by mass spectroscopy LC-ESI-MS/MS.
Activation : in vitro auto-activation.
Storage Buffer : 50 mM HEPES pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl, 5 mM DTT, 15 mM reduced glutathione, 20% glycerol.
Concentration : 0.133 μg/μl (Bradford method using BSA [Sigma, cat# A-7638, Lot 79H7641] as standard protein).
Specific Activity : 140 pmol/μg×min.
Storage : -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles!
