Product Overview : Recombinant human Secreted Frizzled-related Protein 1 is a glycosylated 283 amino acid protein containing a cysteine rich Frizzled homologous domain. It is expressed inHeLa cells.
Description : Secreted frizzled-related protein 1, also known as sFRP1, is a 35 kDa prototypical member of the SFRP family. SFRP family consists of five secreted glycoproteins in humans acting as extracellular signaling ligands. Each is approximately 300 amino acids in length and contains a cysteine-rich domain (CRD) that shares 30-50% sequence homology with the CRD of Frizzled (Fz) receptors, a putative signal sequence, and a conserved hydrophilic carboxy-terminal domain.
Source : HeLa cells.
Purity : Greater than 97% (determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis).
Endotoxin Level : < 0.1 ng per μg of rHu sFRP-1 (1EU/μg).
Biological Activity : Determined by its ability to inhibit BMP-2 proliferation effect of ATDC-5 cells. The expected ED50is 0.3–0.5 μg/ml.
Formulation : Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution with no additives.
Reconstitution : Please Note: Always centrifuge product before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted with distilled, sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. For further dilution, carrier protein (0.1% BSA or HSA) should be added to avoid loss of bioactivity.
Storage : The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted sFasL should be used immediately or stored in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
