Description : Antigen standard for DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 3 beta (DNMT3B), transcript variant 2 is a lysate prepared from HEK293T cells transiently transfected with a TrueORF gene-carrying pCMV plasmid and then lysed in RIPA Buffer. Protein concentration was determined using a colorimetric assay. The antigen control carries a C-terminal Myc/DDK tag for detection.
Source : HEK 293 cells
Species : Human
Components : This product includes 3 vials: 1 vial of gene-specific cell lysate, 1 vial of control vector cell lysate, and 1 vial of loading buffer. Each lysate vial contains 0.1 mg lysate in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of RIPA Buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1% NP40). The loading buffer vial contains 0.5 ml 2X SDS Loading Buffer (125 mM Tris-Cl, pH6.8, 10% glycerol, 4% SDS, 0.002% Bromophenol blue, 5% beta-mercaptoethanol).
Size : 0.1 mg
Storage Instruction : Store at -80°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. After addition of 2X SDS Loading Buffer, the lysates can be stored at -20°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
Applications : ELISA, WB, IP. WB: Mix equal volume of lysates with 2X SDS Loading Buffer. Boil the mixture for 10 min before loading (for membrane protein lysates, incubate the mixture at room temperature for 30 min). Load 5 ug lysate per lane.

        Q&As (5)

        Ask a question
What are the potential side effects of targeting DNMT3B for therapeutic purposes? 12/04/2022

Targeting DNMT3B for therapeutic purposes may lead to off-target effects and unintended changes in DNA methylation, potentially causing adverse effects on normal cellular function and gene expression.

Are there any genetic disorders associated with mutations in the DNMT3B gene? 03/29/2021

Yes, mutations in the DNMT3B gene are linked to a rare genetic disorder called ICF (Immunodeficiency, Centromeric instability, Facial anomalies) syndrome, characterized by immune system deficiencies, facial abnormalities, and unstable centromeric regions in chromosomes.

Can DNMT3B protein be used as a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis or prognosis? 11/08/2020

Research has shown that alterations in DNMT3B expression or activity can be associated with various types of cancer, making it a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response.

How does DNMT3B protein contribute to epigenetic regulation in cells? 09/21/2018

DNMT3B plays a crucial role in establishing de novo DNA methylation patterns during embryonic development and cell differentiation, contributing to the epigenetic regulation of gene expression.

What are the therapeutic implications of targeting DNMT3B in cancer treatment? 02/03/2018

Inhibition of DNMT3B activity through targeted therapy or epigenetic modifying agents has been explored as a potential treatment strategy to reverse abnormal DNA methylation patterns and restore normal gene expression in cancer cells.
