• Description: Troponin I, cardiac muscle is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNNI3 gene. Troponin I (TnI) is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle; see also TNNI1. The others are troponin T and troponin C.
