|Product Overview :||mCherry is the second generation monomeric red fluorescent protein that have improved brightness and photostability. The recombinant mCherry is expressed and purified from transformed E. coli using a method that ensures high purity and maximal fluorescence intensity. The protein is a 28.8 kDa monomer with 256 amino acids, pI: 6.23. Ex.= 587 nm (540-590 nm); Em.= 610 nm (550-650 nm). The protein is engineered with 6xHis-tag on the N-terminus, which can be used for detection with anti-His-Tag antibody or protein purification/removal by using Ni++ beads.
Fluorescent protein ideal for subcellular labeling/visualization
|Description :||mCherry is a bright red monomeric fluorescent protein created by rounds of directed evolution of DsRed. mCherry matures rapidly, making it possible to see results very soon after transfection or activation of transcription. It is highly photostable and resistant to photobleaching.|
