Description : BTK (also known as Bruton tyrosine kinase) plays a crucial role in B-lymphocyte differentiation and activation. BTK interacts with SRC homology 3 domains of FYN, LYN and HCK that are activated upon stimulation of B- and T-cell receptors.Defects in the BTK gene cause Agammaglobulinemia, an X-linked immunodeficiency characterized by failure to produce mature B lymphocyte cells and associated with a failure of Ig heavy chain rearrangement. The unique role of BTK makes it a desirable target for potential anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral agents as well as other treatments.

Ask a question
What is the current progress in drug development for BTK? 04/02/2022

The development of drugs targeting BTK is currently in the clinical trial stage, including small molecule inhibitors against BTK and inhibitors targeting BTK signaling pathways.

How can BTK be used as a biomarker in clinical practice? 12/28/2021

In clinical practice, the expression level of BTK can be detected to predict disease progression and prognosis, and to guide the choice of treatment regimen. For example, in the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma and leukemia, testing the expression level of BTK can help doctors determine the type, stage and prognosis of the disease, and guide the choice of treatment regimen.

What is the significance of studying BTK proteins? 08/26/2021

BTK proteins can help to gain insight into the mechanisms of B cell development and activation, as well as the pathogenesis of certain diseases such as lymphoma and leukemia. In addition, it is of great significance for the development of new drugs and treatment strategies.

Does BTK protein play a role in tumor immunotherapy? 03/22/2021

BTK protein plays an important role in tumor immunotherapy, which can activate the immune response of tumor cells, promote apoptosis of tumor cells and inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells.

How is BTK protein related to viral infection? 08/01/2020

Studies have shown that BTK protein can participate in the regulation of antiviral immune responses and affect the course of viral infection.

What are the applications of BTK protein in drug discovery? 02/12/2020

It can be used as a target for the development of new drugs, or as a drug carrier for the directional delivery of drugs.
