Cat. No. : Ccl5-104R
Description : RANTES is a protein which has been shown to be a chemoattractant for peripheral blood monocytes. It appears to selectively attract T cells of the CD4+/CD45RO+ phenotype in vitro.
Source : E.coli.
Purity : > 98% (SDS-PAGE; HPLC).
Endotoxin level : < 0.1 ng/g of RANTES.
Stabilizer : None.
Formulation : Lyophilized.
Biologically Activity : Rat RANTES produces chemotaxis over a wide concentration range in an assay using rat peritoneal macrophages. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using a concentration of 10-50 ng/ml.
Reconstitution : The lyophilized RANTES is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 100 ng/µl. It is recommended that further dilutions be made into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum.
Stability : The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted RANTES should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

        Ask a question
What are the potential clinical applications of CCL5 inhibitors? 10/24/2021

CCL5 inhibitors may be used to control inflammation in diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or as an adjuvant in cancer therapy.

Can CCL5 be used to stimulate the immune system in cancer treatment? 10/24/2020

CCL5-based immunotherapies are being explored to enhance the immune response against cancer cells.

Can CCL5 be used as a diagnostic marker for diseases? 08/14/2019

It can serve as a biomarker for some diseases, but it is usually used in conjunction with other markers for more accurate diagnostics.

What are the clinical implications of elevated CCL5 levels? 02/20/2019

Elevated CCL5 levels are associated with inflammation and may be indicative of certain diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or HIV infection.

Are there any CCL5-targeted therapies in development? 05/18/2018

Yes, there are ongoing efforts to develop therapies that modulate CCL5 activity, particularly in diseases involving inflammation.
