Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 6

Cat. No.: Il6-657M
Product Overview: RecombinantMouse Il6 protein was expressed in E. coli. Phe25-Leu211,with an N-terminal Met.
Description: Il6 is a pleiotropicα-helical cytokine that plays important roles in acute phase reactions, inflammation, hematopoiesis, bone metabolism, and cancer progression. Il6 activity iscentral to the transition from acute inflammation to either acquired immunityor chronic inflammatory disease. It is secreted by multiple cell types as a22 kDa-28 kDa phosphorylated and variably glycosylated molecule. Mature mouseIl6 is 187 amino acids (aa) in length and shares 42% and 85% aa sequence identitywith human and rat Il6, respectively. Alternate splicing generates severalisoforms with internal deletions.
Source: E. coli
Form: Lyophilized from a0.2 um filtered solution in Sodium Acetate and EDTA with Trehalose and withBSA as a carrier protein.
N-terminalSequence: Phe25
