Recombinant Mouse Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 8

Cat. No. : Ccl8-285M
Product Overview : Recombinant Mouse MCP-2, also known as CCL8, produced in E.coli is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 74 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8,504 Daltons.
Description : Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 8, also known as monocyte chemoattractant protein 2 (MCP-2), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CCL8 gene. CCL8 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. The CCL8 protein is produced as a precursor containing 109 amino acids, which is cleaved to produce mature CCL8 containing 75 amino acids.
Species : Mouse
Source : E.coli
Form : Lyophilized with no additives.
Purity : Purity Greater than 98% as determined by: Analysis by RP-HPLC. Reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE.
Bio-activity : MCP-2 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The specific activity as determined by the ability of MCP-2to chemoattract human peripheral blood at 10-100ng/ml.
Physical Appearance : Sterile Filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Solubility : It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
Purity Greater than 98% as determined by : Analysis by RP-HPLC. Reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE.
Protein Content determined by : UV spectroscopy at 280 nm. Analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Amino acid sequence : GPDKAPVTCC FHVLKLKIPL RVLKSYERIN NIQCPMEAVVQTKQGMSLC VDPTQKWVSE YMEILDQKSQ ILQP
Storage : Lyophilized product is very stable at -20 degrees. Reconstituted material should be aliquoted and frozen at -20. It is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
