Description: Human Neurturin (NTN) and human GDNF comprise a family of TGF-beta related neurotrophic factor which have trophic influences on a variety of neuronal populations. Neurturin promotes the survivability of certain sympathetic and sensory neurons through interaction with distinct set of GDNF-like receptors.

Biological Activity: Human Neurturin is fully biologically active when compared to standards. Human Neurturin at a concentration of 50-100 ng/ml will support the survival of 65% of newborn rat sympathetic neurons.
Reconstitution: The lyophilized human Neurturin can be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 1 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20°C for future use. For most in vitro applications, Neurturin exerts its biological activity in the concentration of 0.1 to 10 ng/ml.
Stability: The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted Neurturin should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
