Cat. No. : RAF1-1122H
Description : Raf is a member of the serine/threonine proteine kinase family involved in regulation of cell growth and differentiation and is the most important effector of Ras. Full-length Raf is composed of three conserved regions responsible for interaction with Ras, for phosphorylation and for catalytic activity. RafRBD (Ras binding domain, amino acids 50-132) mediates interaction with membrane-anchored Ras necessary for activation of the kinase activity of Raf.
Source : E.coli.
Molecular Weight : 9.4 kDa (amino acids 50 - 132).
Form : Liquid. Supplied in 32 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.6, 200 mM NaCl, 5 mM MgCl2 and 5 mM DTT.

Ask a question
How is the RAF1 protein studied in a clinical context? 01/21/2023

The RAF1 protein is studied through a combination of molecular biology techniques, such as immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, and genetic sequencing, in both clinical and research settings.

Is RAF1 protein expression routinely tested in cancer diagnostics? 06/11/2019

RAF1 protein expression is not typically included in routine cancer diagnostics. Instead, mutations and expression levels of other genes, like BRAF, are often analyzed in cancer patients.

Are there any clinical trials focused on RAF1 protein for disease treatment or research? 01/14/2019

Clinical trials involving RAF1 protein are ongoing for conditions like Noonan syndrome and certain cancers. These trials aim to develop new therapies and better understand its role in disease.

How does the RAF1 protein influence cardiac health, and what clinical implications does this have? 02/28/2018

RAF1 mutations can affect cardiac development, leading to congenital heart defects and other cardiac issues in patients with Noonan syndrome. This has important clinical implications for cardiologists and genetic counselors.

Can RAF1 mutations be inherited, and if so, how does this affect patients and their families? 01/31/2016

Yes, RAF1 mutations can be inherited, and they can lead to Noonan syndrome. This can have a significant impact on affected individuals and their families, necessitating specialized medical care and genetic counseling.
