Cat. No. : IL3-604H
Description : IL-3 stimulates thedifferentiation of multipotent hematopoietic stem cells into myeloidprogenitor cells (as opposed to lymphoid progenitor cells wheredifferentiation is stimulated by IL-7) as well as stimulates proliferation ofall cells in the myeloid lineage (erythrocytes, megakaryocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells). It is secreted by basophils and activated Tcells to support growth and differentiation of T cells from the bone marrowin an immune response.
Source : Hordeum vulgare(barley grain)
Species : Human
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 um sterile filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.2.
Molecular Weight : 17.2 kDa. Theglycosylated protein migrates with an apparent MW=22 kDa in SDS-PAGE.
Purity : >95% by SDS-PAGE.Purified product carries no pyrogenic or pro-inflammatory contaminants, asassayed with monocyte activation test using custom human Multiplex CytokineAssay measuring IL-6, TNF-alpha and IL-1beta induction.
Endotoxin Level : <0.005 ng per ugof product (0.05 EU/ug) as measured by turbidimetric kinetic assay.
Biological Activity : Bioactivity isassayed by measuring the dose dependent effect of human IL3 on proliferationof TF-1 cells. The ED50 for this batch of recombinant human IL3 is 0.97ng/ml.
Specific Activity : 1.03 x 106 units/mg
Reconstitution : Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fullysolubilize the protein to a concentration not less than 100 ug/ml. Aftercomplete solubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted to otheraqueous solutions.
Storage : The lyophilizedprotein, though stable at room temperature for two weeks, is best stored at-20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored in workingaliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Ask a question
What is the difference between IL-3 and GM-CSF In vitro? 04/14/2023

In vitro, IL-3 can induce differentiation and proliferation of myeloid lineage cells and is distinguished from GM-CSF by the relative increase in production of platelets, basophils, and mast cells.

What is the difference in clinical presentation of IL-3 compared to GM-CSF? 04/14/2023

Although effective, IL-3 appears to present no therapeutic advantages compared to G-CSF and GM-CSF, and in direct comparison studies, IL-3 led to a considerably higher rate of adverse events than either of the other cytokines.

Since the structure of IL-3 is different between animals and humans, does it mean that il-3 is not necessary to maintain stable hematopoietic function? 04/14/2023

mice deficient in both bc and IL-3 show the same phenotype as the bc-deficient mice, conclusively demonstrating that, for the most part, the GM-CSF/IL3/IL5 family is not essential for steady-state production of myeloid cells

How does the structure of IL-3 in animals differ from that in humans? 04/14/2023

Unlike in humans, murine IL-3 has a second b chain receptor, bcIL3, which bears 91% homology to the bc chain.

Does loss of cytokine IL-3 affect normal granulocyte, monocyte, and basophil levels? 04/14/2023

Knockout mice were also reported with surprisingly limited phenotypes. Despite the ability of the three cytokines to stimulate hematopoiesis, mice functionally deficient in all three cytokinesdisplay normal circulating levels of granulocytes, monocytes, and basophils.

IL-3 specific receptor subunit CD123 is overexpressed in many hematological malignancies,Is it overexpressed in normal tissues where inflammation occurs? 04/14/2023

non-hematopoietic (e.g., epithelial cells, and fibroblasts) cell subsets can also produce il-3.

When is IL-3 activated by T cells? 04/14/2023

Such as allergic inflammation and parasitic infestation.

Since basophils are the target and source of IL-3, can they regulate the secretion of IL-3 to treat allergic diseases? 04/14/2023

IL-3 can regulate the survival of basophil granulocytes and cytokine production through autocrine, so as to achieve the purpose of treating allergic diseases.

T cell IL-3 expression is specifically regulated by which transcription factor? 04/14/2023

Bhlhe40

Which hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cell subsets express IL-3? 04/14/2023

E.g., lymphocytes,epithelial cells, and fibroblasts

Are there any completed clinical trials on IL3? 12/20/2021

Yes, there are some completed clinical trials on IL3 results, but the specific results need to refer to the relevant research papers.

What is the effect of IL3 on hematopoietic system? 09/29/2021

This protein can promote stem cell proliferation and differentiation during hematopoietic process, thus increasing the production of different types of blood cells.

Are there any side effects of IL3? 09/24/2019

In general, the IL3 has relatively few side effects, but some unpleasant symptoms such as fever, headache and nausea may occur.

IL3 associated with whether the immune adjustment? 06/28/2019

IL3 can regulate the body's immune response and the function of immune cells, and plays an important role in immune regulation.

What is the solubility and stability of IL3? 05/25/2019

IL3 generally have good solubility and stability, making them easier to handle during drug preparation and storage.

How is the research progress of IL3? 02/27/2019

The study of IL3 is ongoing, including its application in the development of therapeutic drugs, as well as in combination therapy with other immune molecules.
