Cat. No. : | THPO-1533H |
Product Overview : | Recombinant human rhTPO contains no μTagsμ and has a calculated MW of 37.4kDa. Asaresult of glycosylation, DTT-reduced protein migrates as a 60-80 kDa polypeptide in SDS-PAGE. |
Description : | Thrombopoietin (THPO) is a relatively lineage-specific cytokine that stimulates megakaryocyte growth and maturation in Thrombopoietin is a relatively lineage specific cytokine that stimulates megakaryocyte growth and maturation in vitro and is a potent in vivo thrombopoietic growth factor. On removal of the 21-amino acid signal peptide, the mature molecule consists of 2 domains: a receptor-binding domain that shows considerable homology to erythropoietin and a carbohydrate-rich carboxy-terminus of the protein that is highly glycosylated and important in maintaining protein stability. |
Source : | Recombinant human TPO/THPO (rhTPO) Met1-Gly349 (Accession AAI30323) was produced in human HEK293 cells. |
Species : | Human |
Form : | Bulk protein in a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4 and delivered as liquid formulation or lyophilized powder Normally 5-8% trehalose and lyophilized powder. Normally 5-8% trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. |
Purity : | >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. All lots are greater than 95% pure. |
Endotoxin : | Less than 1.0 EU per 1 μg of the rhTPO by the LAL method. |
Storage : | Stable in lyophilized state at 4°C for 1 year after receipt. Sterile stock solutions reconstituted are stable at 4°C for 2 months and at -20°C for 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
