Cat. No. : Parp2-613M
Description : This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 2 protein, which contains a catalytic domain and is capable of catalyzing a poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction. This protein has a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase, but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. The basic residues within the N-terminal region of this protein may bear potential DNA-binding properties, and may be involved in the nuclear and/or nucleolar targeting of the protein. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found.
Source : Sf9 cells.
Purity : ≥98% (SDS-PAGE). Affinity purified.
Formulation : Liquid. In 50mM TRIS-HCl, pH 7.5, containing 1mM DTT, 0.5mM EDTA, 0.5mM PMSF and 20% glycerol.
Concentration : ~1mg/ml.
Specific Activity : ≥200U/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that synthesizes 1nmol of poly(ADP-ribose) per min at 25°C, pH 7.5. See also separate protocol (link below).
Storage : Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. After reconstitution, prepare aliquots and store at -80°C.
