Recombinant Human Interleukin 17A, Fc Chimera

Cat. No. : IL17A-279H
Product Overview : Recombinant Human Interleukin 17A is produced in mammalian cells andfused with human IgG1Fc. IL-17A (C-terminus fused with human IgG1Fc) contains 361 amino acids with predicted MW 40.82kDa x 2 (dimmer) and 12 cysteines (Fc has 6). It also has 1 N-link glycosylation site with MW increase up to 5 kDa. Receptor for IL-17A induces stromal cells to produce proinflamatory and hematopoietic cytokins. Enhances the surface expression of the intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in fibroblasts.
Description : The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. This cytokine regulates the activities of NF-kappaB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. This cytokine can stimulate the expression of IL6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2), as well as enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO). High levels of this cytokine are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.
