Cat. No. : | IL18BP-1656H |
Description : | IL-18-binding protein (IL-18BP) is a secreted glycoprotein that functions as a natural anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive molecule neutralizing the effects of high IL18 levels during inflammation. There are four variants of IL-18BP and IL18BPa is the predominant form showing the highest affinity towards IL18. that IL-18 BPa:Fc has the potential to amplify anti-inflammatory actions of immunosuppressive drugs, and thus may prove to be a valuable novel pharmacological component in the treatment of human autoimmune diseases. |
Molecular Weight : | The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human IL-18 BPa is Mr 44.2 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 65-75 kDa. |
Source : | Mammalian cells |
State Of Matter : | Lyophilized. |
Purity : | >95% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain. |
Endotoxin : | <1.0 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method. |
Storage And Stability : | This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20℃ to -70℃. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2℃ to 8℃ for one month or at -20℃ to -70℃ in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. See Product Insert for exact lot specific storage instructions. |
