Cat. No. : | MMP2-169H |
Overview : | Recombinant Human MMP-2 (catalytic domain) was expressed in yeast and used for Studying enzyme kinetics, cleaving target substrates, and screening for inhibitors. |
Description : | Active recombinant matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2, gelatinase A, 72kDa type IV collagenase) cloned from human cDNA. The enzyme consists of residues Tyr110-Asp452 (NM_004530), which comprises the catalytic/fibronectin domain of human MMP-2, with a C-terminal purification tag. This represents a naturally occurring active form of MMP-2 which lacks the C-terminal hemopexin domain. MMPs lacking this domain cannot cleave native collagens; however, activity toward other targets such as gelatin, casein, or peptide substrates is unaffected. |
Source : | yeast |
Species : | Human |
Predicted MolecularMass : | 40 kDa |
Purity : | >95% by SDS-PAGE. |
Long Term Storage : | -80°C |
Note : | When stored under the above conditions, this enzyme is stable at the concentration supplied, in its current storage buffer. Procedures such as dilution of the enzyme followed by refreezing could lead to loss of activity. |

Ask a questionThe activity of MMP2 is regulated by inhibitors and antibodies against it to inhibit tumor metastasis and invasion.
MMP2 interacts with some transfer factors, such as VEGF and EGF, to promote tumor metastasis and invasion.
Inhibitors of MMP2 can be used as potential drug targets for the treatment of tumors, cardiovascular diseases and other related diseases.
MMP2 interacts with tumor cells, immune cells, blood vessels, etc. in the tumor microenvironment to affect tumor progression and treatment effect.
It is involved in important processes such as morphogenesis, organ development and intraembryonic lymphatic vessel formation during embryonic development.
Mutations in MMP2 may affect its protein structure and function, leading to the occurrence and progression of related diseases.
Customer Reviews (3)
Write a reviewThe solubility and ion exchange ability are very good, which is convenient for subsequent experimental treatment and purification.
Kinetic parameters such as enzymatic reaction rate and binding affinity were tested in the early stage, and it was found that the protein performed well.
MMP2 products undergo strict quality control to ensure the consistency and stability of each batch.
