Cat. No. : Cd6-1710M
Description : CD6 (Cluster of Differentiation 6) is a cell surface glycoprotein that is involved in T cell activation and a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine rich protein superfamily (SRCRSF). CD6 can deliver coactivating signals to mature T lymphocytes and regulate its antigen specific and autoreactive responses.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse CD6 is Mr 68.6 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 116 kDa.
Source : Mammalian cells
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Purity : >90% by SDS Page and analyzed by silver stain.
Endotoxin : <0.1 ng per 1 µg as determined by the LAL method.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20℃ to -70℃. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2℃ to 8℃ for one month or at -20℃ to -70℃ in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. See Product Insert for exact lot specific storage instructions.

        Q&As (5)

        Ask a question
Can you explain the role of CD6 in T-cell co-stimulation and its implications for adaptive immune responses? 02/18/2022

CD6 provides co-stimulatory signals to T cells, influencing their activation and differentiation. This contributes to the regulation of adaptive immune responses.

How are CD6 genes polymorphic, and what is the significance of genetic variations in the context of autoimmune diseases? 07/19/2021

CD6 genes exhibit polymorphisms, and certain variations are associated with susceptibility to autoimmune diseases, indicating a potential role in immune dysregulation.

How does CD6 contribute to the formation of immunological synapses, and what molecular events are involved in this process? 04/01/2020

CD6 is involved in immunological synapse formation, and its interactions with ligands, such as ALCAM, play a role in stabilizing T-cell interactions with antigen-presenting cells.

How does CD6 influence T-cell trafficking and migration, and what are the implications for immune surveillance and inflammation? 09/28/2019

CD6 modulates T-cell trafficking and migration, impacting immune surveillance and inflammation. Its interactions with adhesion molecules contribute to these processes.

What is the relationship between CD6 and antigen-presenting cells, and how does it impact the initiation of immune responses? 11/05/2018

CD6 interacts with antigen-presenting cells, facilitating T-cell activation. This interaction is pivotal for the initiation and regulation of immune responses.
