IL2RB

Official Full Name
IL2RB interleukin 2 receptor, beta
-
Background
CD122 is a 70-75 kD IL-2 receptor beta chain also known as IL-2Rbeta, which is also shared by the IL-15 receptor. It is constitutively expressed by NK cells and at lower levels by T cells, B cells, monocytes, and macrophages. The IL-2Rbeta chain can combine with either the common gamma subunit (gammac, CD132) alone or with the gammac subunit and the IL-2Ralpha subunit (CD25) to generate intermediate or high affinity IL-2 receptor complexes, respectively. CD122 expression levels can be upregulated by activation. -

Q&As (6)
Ask a questionIt is an artificial protein prepared by genetic engineering techniques that can mimic the natural IL-2R beta subunit and is used to explore how to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases by regulating the IL-2 signaling pathway.
There has shown good therapeutic effect in the treatment of some tumors (such as lung cancer, melanoma, etc.), but the specific efficacy varies with the patient's condition, treatment timing and other factors.
This protein can simulate the natural IL-2R beta subunit and participate in the IL-2 signaling pathway, thereby enhancing the body's immunity.
IL2RB is associated with a variety of cancers (such as gastric cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, lymphoma, etc.) and autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc.).
IL2RB can be used as a new therapeutic method, but it does not mean that it can replace traditional therapeutic methods. In the course of specific treatment, different treatment methods should be considered according to the condition.
IL2RB may produce some side effects, including fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, etc., but the incidence of different side effects is low.
