TPO is a glycoprotein hormone constitutively produced mainly by the liver and kidney and is the primary physiological regulator megakaryopoiesis and platelet production.

Molecular Weight :	The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Mouse TPO is Mr 35 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 75 kDa. The actual molecular weight of 75 KDa is a result of glycosylation.
