Description : Predicted to enable Rho-dependent protein serine/threonine kinase activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of cardiac muscle hypertrophy; positive regulation of connective tissue replacement; and positive regulation of cytokine production. Acts upstream of or within Rho protein signal transduction. Predicted to be located in cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein granule; cytosol; and spindle pole centrosome. Predicted to be active in several cellular components, including Schaffer collateral - CA1 synapse; centrosome; and glutamatergic synapse. Orthologous to human ROCK2 (Rho associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 2).
Source : E. coli
Species : Rat
Tag : His
Form : Freeze-dried powder
Molecular Mass : Predicted Molecular Mass: 31.0 kDa
Accurate Molecular Mass: 31 kDa
Protein length : Leu904-Gly1140
Purity : > 90%
Applications : Positive Control; Immunogen; SDS-PAGE; WB.
Stability : The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 centigrade for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage : Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 centigrade for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 centigrade for 12 months.
Storage Buffer : 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl, pH8.0, containing 1mM EDTA, 1mM DTT, 0.01% SKL, 5% Trehalose and Proclin300.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute in 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl (pH8.0) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex.

Discuss the role of ROCK2 in smooth muscle contraction and vascular tone. 03/24/2022

ROCK2 is a key regulator of smooth muscle contraction, influencing vascular tone by phosphorylating myosin light chain and promoting actin-myosin interaction.

Describe the molecular crosstalk between ROCK2 and other signaling pathways. 08/07/2021

ROCK2 interacts with various signaling pathways, including Wnt, PI3K/Akt, and MAPK pathways, forming a network that regulates cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation.

How does ROCK2 contribute to the regulation of cell cycle progression? 12/04/2020

ROCK2 can influence the cell cycle by regulating cyclin-dependent kinase activity and promoting the phosphorylation of proteins involved in cell cycle checkpoints.

What are the implications of ROCK2 in cell migration and invasion? 03/18/2019

ROCK2 is involved in the regulation of cell migration and invasion by controlling actin dynamics and focal adhesion turnover, influencing processes like metastasis in cancer.
