Recombinant Human Thrombospondin 4, His-tagged

Cat. No.: THBS4-507H
Product Overview: Recombinant Human THBS4protein was expressed in CHO with a C-terminal 10-His tag. Ala22-Asn961.
Description: THBS4 is a 140 kDacalcium-binding protein that interacts with other extracellular matrixmolecules and modulates the activity of various cell types. TSP1 and 2constitute subgroup A and form disulfide-linked homotrimers. The human THBS4cDNA encodes a 961 amino acid precursor that includes a 26 aa signal sequencefollowed by an N-terminal heparin-binding domain, a coiled-coil motif, fourEGF-like repeats, seven TSP type3 repeats, and a TSP C-terminal domain.
Source: Chinese HamsterOvary cell line, CHO-derived.
Form: Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in Tris, NaCl and CaCl2.
N-terminalSequence: Ala22
Molecular Weight: 105 kDa
Activity: Measuredby the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of SVEC410mouse endothelial cells. rh THBS4 is coated to 96 well plates at 10 μg/mL(100 μL/well) overnight then reduced with 20 mM DTT for 30 minutes. When 2 x104 cells/ well are added to rh THBS4 coated plates, approximately50-70% will adhere after one hour at 37°C.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 145 kDa,reducing conditions.
Purity: >90%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution: 100 μg/ mLin sterile PBS
Storage: Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months fromdate of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterileconditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterileconditions after reconstitution.
