Description: THBS4 is a 140 kDacalcium-binding protein that interacts with other extracellular matrixmolecules and modulates the activity of various cell types. TSP1 and 2constitute subgroup A and form disulfide-linked homotrimers. The human THBS4cDNA encodes a 961 amino acid precursor that includes a 26 aa signal sequencefollowed by an N-terminal heparin-binding domain, a coiled-coil motif, fourEGF-like repeats, seven TSP type3 repeats, and a TSP C-terminal domain.

Activity: Measuredby the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of SVEC410mouse endothelial cells. rh THBS4 is coated to 96 well plates at 10 μg/mL(100 μL/well) overnight then reduced with 20 mM DTT for 30 minutes. When 2 x104 cells/ well are added to rh THBS4 coated plates, approximately50-70% will adhere after one hour at 37°C.
