| Description : | This is the POLG gene product, the catalytic subunit of DNA polymerase gamma. Pol gamma is the mitochondrial replication and repair DNA polymerase. Defects in the POLG gene are a cause of progressive external ophthalmoplegia with mitochondrial DNA deletions 1 (PEOA1), sensory ataxic neuropathy dysarthria and ophthalmoparesis (SANDO), Alpers-Huttenlocher syndrome (AHS), and mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalopathy syndrome (MNGIE). Pol gamma is also a target of various nucleotide derivatives. |
| Form : | 20 mM Tris-HCl, (pH7.5), 200 mM NaCl, 1 mM β- mercaptoethanol, and 10% glycerol |
| Molecular Mass : | 140 kDa |
| Storage : | Stable for 2 years at -70 centigrade from date of shipment. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
| Full Length : | Full L. |
